Presided over by its Vice Speaker Dr. Mohammed bin Ameen Al-Jeffri, Majlis Al-Shura held here today its 48th ordinary session. At the outset of the session, Majlis Al-Shura congratulated Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion of his selection as the Crown Prince and his appointment as Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. The council also congratulated Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz for his appointment as the Minister of Interior. Then, Majlis Al-Shura discussed a number of issues on its agenda. Al-Shura Council approved a draft agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China in the field of sports. The council approved a request for approval of the uniform code of anti-dumping and countervailing measures and preventive measures for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States (as amended) and its executive regulations (as amended). Majlis Al-Shura discussed a number of issues pertaining to fields of judiciary, communications, transport and information technology.
