The ministers of agriculture in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held today the 7th-Ministerial Islamic Conference for Food Security and Agricultural Development in the Kazakh capital, Astana. At the opening session, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the 7th Islamic Conference Asylzhan Mamytbekov said that there are challenges facing food security which are in increasing numbers of the population and the lack of food agricultural production, adding that the establishment of the Islamic Organization for Food Security was a culmination of the efforts being exerted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to achieve food security. --More
