The participants in the seminar on "The role of the judiciary in the protection of human rights" have extended their deep thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the great attention being provided for the judiciary which promotes and protects human rights in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The symposium was organized yesterday by the Human Rights Commission in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Dr. Walid Al-Samaani and Chairman of the Commission Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban. The symposium stressed the founding principles of the judiciary in the Kingdom including independence of the judiciary, and the lack of authority over judges except for Shariah laws and applicable regulations. The participants praised the great developments achieved in the judiciary and the need to continue the efforts in this area in particular to speed up the completion of the preparation of a code of judicial judgments.
