Minister of Justice and Acting Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Magistracy Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al Samaani, led the Saudi delegation participating in the Global Law Summit that is currently held in London, in the presence of Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom. following the opening of the three-day summit, the Minister of Justice said that the judiciary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based on Islamic Sharia which is derived from the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah, ensuring the independence and impartiality of the judiciary as it also guarantees rights for all individuals. He stated, "The Kingdom was one of the first countries which called for the principles of human rights and respected all international conventions on them." He added that the kingdom's regulations provide all the judicial guarantees which are consistent with international norms and standards applicable at all stages of litigation. The minister stated that the judicial regulations in the kingdom is witnessing continuous development in the procedural aspects and administrative regulations, contributing to the speed and efficiency of work and benefiting from international experiences and participation in such conferences in which the experiences of countries are displayed allowing us to benefit from what does not conflict with the principles of Islamic Sharia.
