The Security Spokesman of Interior Ministry has stated that within the preventive efforts being exerted by competent security authorities to combat drug smuggling into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and based on available information, two attempts to smuggle a total of (7,846,550) pills of amphetamines hidden professionally in equipment and devices exported to the Kingdom in two trucks were foiled. He explained that the first truck with (5,419,750) narcotic pills was seized in Tabuk, and the second one with (2,426,800) narcotic pills was seized in the city of Riyadh. Those involved in the smuggling of narcotic substances have been arrested and they included one Yemeni national and another holds Turkish citizenship, in addition to the arrest of three Saudi nationals who were the receivers of these narcotic pills.
