Explosion on board Somali plane was caused by bomb

An explosion that tore a hole in the side of a Somali passenger plane was caused by a bomb, Transport Minister Ali Jama Jangali said Saturday, according to dpa.
"It was not a technical problem. It was a deliberate bomb attack on Daallo Airlines," Jangali told a press conference.
The explosion occurred on a plane carrying 74 people 15 minutes after takeoff from Mogadishu on Tuesday.
The plane turned back from its route towards Djibouti and landed back at Mogadishu airport.
