The sixth annual conference on effective partnership and information exchange for better humanitarian work opened in Kuwait last night with Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Rabee'a, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of Riyadh-based King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, leading the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the conference. In a speech read on his behalf by Minister of State for Cabinet affairs and acting minister of electricity and water Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah al-Mubarak at the opening of the event, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of Kuwait underscored the importance of enhancing and building the abilities and effective coordination to reach the best response to consecutive humanitarian crises now ripping the world and resulting from natural disasters or armed conflicts. He also emphasized the need to encourage partnership between countries and international agencies known to be active in the humanitarian field as well as partnership and cooperation with non-government and national organizations of the private sector in this field.
