Belgian government this morning announced the raising of alert status in Brussels to the highest level and urged people to evade joining crowds due reports of an imminent and dangerous terrorist attack. In a statement, the alert status was raised in the Belgian capital of Brussels to the fourth level, the country's maximum alert, and for the whole country of Belgium to the third level, an indication for the presence of an imminent or potential terror attack. A number of participants in the recent Paris terror attacks which left 130 killed were found to have links with the Belgian capital.
