The death toll from a landslide in eastern China's Zhejiang Province reached 16, with 21 people still missing, state media reported Sunday, according to dpa. The disaster occurred Friday night after two days of heavy rains, Xinhua said. Dozens of homes were buried under mud and rocks. Only one survivor has been rescued since the landslide hit the Zhejiang province village of Lidong about 10:50 pm (1450 GMT) Friday. More than 2,300 rescuers and a team of specially trained dogs were continuing rescue operations, the report said.
