Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs: Fraternal Relations Binding the Sultanate, the Kingdom, GCC Member States, Coalition Countries above Accidents Occurring, anywhere

Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah confirmed that the sultanate is exerting diplomatic efforts to reach a peaceful solution in Syria and Yemen, pointing out that all parties that have a presence or contact to these two issues, one way or another, are looking for peaceful solutions based on use of diplomacy, tracing Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said policy, in which the Omani diplomatic relies on means acceptable to all, stressing that the Sultanate seek through quiet diplomacy and without any opposition and via motivational means for rapprochement between all parties, in order to reach solid political solutions, while ensuring continuity.
In a press statement to the Omani News Agency, he pointed out that talks, which took place today between the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been agreed on its agenda, coordinated, in advance, and that there are common goals between the two countries on the region's conflict hotbeds, pointing out that the two countries had agreed to look to the future and not to be tied to the past, regarding the region's issues.
The minister stated that the Sultanate of Oman does not target the position of any State of the coalition countries, with regard to the premises of the Omani Embassy, in Sanaa, and the point is to show a commitment to international law, adding that Sanaa was a war zone, at the time, and that the fraternal relations binding the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and coalition countries are above accidents that may occur, in any place.
The Omani minister reaffirmed that his recent visit to Syria was important for the brothers in Saudi Arabia, to listen to the viewpoint of the Sultanate, noting that he had listened, in Damascus, to the point of the Syrian government, on what is going on now, in all states participating, in Vienna Conference and that all of these efforts, were discussed during the meeting, which was scheduled to be held, before his visit to Damascus.
