The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman held official talks here today. The Saudi side was led by visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and the Omani side was led by the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi Abdullah, in the presence of senior officials, from both sides' respective ministry of foreign affairs. During the meeting, the two parties reviewed fraternal relations between the two brethren countries, in addition to many issues and current latest developments, on the regional as well as international stages. In a press statement reported by the Omani News Agency, Al-Jubeir emphasized the identical points of view of the Kingdom and the Sultanate, over all issues discussed, during the meeting held today, pointing out the conformity of the two countries perspective, in regard of anticipated objectives for backing up regional security and stability and on finding the best of vehicles to realize them. The talks were fruitful and constructive, he stressed, indicating that a number of issues of mutual interest to the two countries and the region, have been tackled, including the situation in Yemen and Syria, intensifying cooperation among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and to consolidate security, stability and peace, in the region of the Middle East, he added.
