The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Oja palace in Dareya district on the outskirts of Riyadh on Saturday evening U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Kerry conveyed to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the greetings and appreciation of U.S. President Barack Obama. In turn, the King sent his greetings and appreciation of the President. Then, a number of issues of mutual concern and the overall incidents witnessed by the region, particularly the developments in the Palestinian territories and the importance of securing protection for the Palestinian people against the repeated Israeli hostilities in addition to the situations at the Syrian arena were discussed. The audience was attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense; Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi, Minister of Culture and Information; and Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. On the U.S. side, the meeting was attended by Joseph Westphal, the U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom; Anne W. Patterson, Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs; Jonathan Finer, Director of the Secretary of State office; John Kirby, Spokesman of the U.S. State Department and Lisa Kenna, Assistant Executive of the U.S. Secretary of State.
