AlQa'dah 18, 1436, Sep 2, 2015, SPA -- The Muslim World League (MWL) has denounced here the release of the Iranian movie "Muhammad, Messenger of God" which was shown on last Thursday in Montreal Film Festival, Canada, which showed footage characterizing the body and figure of the Prophet (peace be upon him). This came in a statement issued by the MWL Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki. He said, "The Muslim World League emphasizes the ban on the embodiment of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in the artwork under whatever the pretext; because the embodiment of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his representation in films and serials is contrary to what should be of reverence for him, peace be upon him, and since it is a way to disregard him, religion and Sharia).
