AlQa'dah 17, 1436, September 01, 2015, SPA -- German unemployment fell more than forecast in August, data released Tuesday showed, adding to hopes about the outlook for Europe's biggest economy, according to dpa. Seasonally adjusted unemployment renewed its downward trend in August to drop by about 7,000 to 2.790 million after climbing in July, the labour office said. The jobless rate held steady at 6.4 per cent, its lowest level since German unification in 1990. In seasonally unadjusted terms, unemployment rose 23,000 from June to 2.796 million. That was 106,000 less than in August last year. The unadjusted monthly unemployment rate edged up to 6.4 per cent from 6.3 per cent in July, the office said.
