AlQa'dah 16, 1436, Aug 31, 2015, SPA-- A small earthquake Monday rattled a highly populated area in southern Los Angeles County in California, but there were no reports of damage or injury. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said that the magnitude-2.9 quake occurred early Monday, a kilometer southwest of Compton and roughly 16 kilometers south of Los Angeles. The USGS said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 12 kilometers.
