AlQa'dah 15, 1433, Oct 1, 2012, SPA -- A moderate earthquake struck off the Pacific coast of Mexico on Monday, with an epicenter 278 kilometers west-southwest of Cihuatlan in Jalisco state, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 21 kilometers Monday morning local time (1732 GMT), the USGS said. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury, and no tsunami warning was issued. The preliminary magnitude of 5.7 had been reported earlier by the U.S. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
