AlQa'dah 04, 1436 AH, August 19, 2015, SPA -- Prince Nawaf Bin Mohammed, President of Saudi Athletics Federation has won the membership of the Board of Directors of International Association of Athletics Federations by 95 votes, during the elections of the Association's general assembly held today in the Chinese capital Beijing. Prince Nawaf bin Mohammed is the oldest one of the heads of national federations of athletics, as he has held the post of President of Saudi Athletics Federation since 1992, and has achieved during this period 1601 medals (593 gold, 554 Silver and 454 Bronze) at Asian, Gulf, Arab, international and Olympic levels. The President of Qatari and Asian Athletics Federations Dahlan Al-Hamad was elected Vice-President of the International Association of Athletics Federations from the continent of Asia, and the President of the United Arab Emirates Athletics Federation, Adviser Ahmed Al Kamali won the membership of the Board of Directors. -- SPA 15:10 LOCAL TIME 12:10 GMT تغريد
