AlQa'dah 03, 1436, August 18, 2015, SPA -- Taliban insurgents took control of another district in southern Afghanistan, officials said Tuesday. The guerrillas seized most of the Nawzad district of Helmand province after days of fighting, a member of the provincial council told dpa. "The building housing the district governor's office and police headquarters has been destroyed by the rebels," he said. But provincial police claimed the battle was far from over. "There is fierce fighting ongoing in the district, around 77 Taliban rebels and five policemen were killed," a spokesman said. "Four policemen and dozens of Taliban rebels sustained injuries during the clashes."
