The World Federation of Friends of the United Nations has honored a number of personalities from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in recognition of their leading roles in the Arab society in various fields of specialization. During a ceremony held in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, the Federation named Princess Reem bint Mansour bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, as Ambassador for Goodwill and Peace in recognition of her humanitarian role in the Arab societies, as well as Dr. Turki Munawar Al-Makhlifi of Qassim University for his role in the service of humanity. The Federation awarded the honorary doctorate degrees to Saudi Dr. Nora Ahmad Rashad, specialist in the field of blood vessels, Director of Culture and Arts Association in Jeddah Omar bin Mohammed Al-Jasser, Dr. Fatima Al-Zahra Al-Ansari, Dr. Manal Sabhi from Taif University, and Dr. Fahd Al-Qashi from the Ministry of Education; as well as businessmen Abdul Qader Baeshen, Yahya Khoja, Abdullah Al-Balawi, Yasser Abdullah, and Tariq Al-Shami.
