Qatar and Russia agree that the only solution to the Syrian crisis is a political one accepted by Syrian people, said Qatari Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah. Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, Al Attiyah said Qatar is working with the friends in Russia and the rest of friendly countries to find a solution to the Syrian crisis. He added that he held with his Russian counterpart a consultation session where they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and Russia, and reviewed the situation in the region and ways to solve its crises through political means. With regards to the Syrian crisis, Al Attiyah said that they were working together to meet the Syrian people's aspirations. Russian foreign minister Lavrov said that during his stay here, he joined a tripartite meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubair and US Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss the Syrian issue.
