The United States and its military coalition partners targeted ISIS forces with 33 airstrikes in Iraq and Syria on Tuesday, the Combined Joint Task Force said. In Iraq, 17 airstrikes were conducted near six cities, hitting tactical units, weapons, fighting positions, and vehicles, the taskforce said in a statement Wednesday. In Syria, 16 airstrikes were conducted, with the greatest concentrations around Al Hasakah and Aleppo with six strikes near each city. ISIS militants were targeted near four other Syrian cities, with tactical units and fighting positions being hit, the statement said.
