U.S. stocks closed lower Thursday as lack of resolution between Greece and its creditors weighed on investor sentiment. The euro traded flat against the dollar at about $1.12. Light sweet crude oil for August delivery dropped 57 cents to $59.70 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while gold futures lost $1.10 to $1,171.80 an ounce. The Dow Jones industrial average lost 73.64, or 0.41 percent, to 17,892.43. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index declined 6.19, or 0.29 percent, to 2,102.38. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 10.22, or 0.20 percent, to 5,112.19.
