Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Ameen Madani strongly condemned the terrorist attack on 24 June 2015 targeting the convoy of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Mogadishu which resulted in the death of twelve innocent lives and the injuring of several others. Madani presented his sincere condolences to the UAE, the government and people of Somalia for the tragic incident and the loss of precious lives. The Secretary General reiterated the principled position of the OIC which rejects all forms and manifestations of extremism and terrorism which he said are nothing but purely crimes against humanity. He assured Somalia of the determination of the OIC to continue to actively support its endeavors for the restoration of peace and stability.
