Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Ameen Madani has received at his office at the General Secretariat Ambassador Sharifi Azamsho Latifzod, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC, who presented his credentials to the Secretary General. During the meeting, Ambassador Latifzod pledged the support of the Republic of Tajikistan to the efforts of the OIC towards the promotion and maintenance of peace and security and enhancing development among its Member States. The Secretary General, on his part, welcomed the support of the Republic of Tajikistan to the programs and activities of the OIC. He reaffirmed OIC's readiness to work with Tajikistan on issues of shared interest. Both sides agreed to remain engaged on mutual issues and strengthen bilateral cooperation through regular consultations at various levels.
