The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, has received at his office, the new Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the OIC, Mahdi Hamzehei, who presented his letters of credentials to the Secretary General. During the meeting, the Iranian envoy conveyed the appreciation and satisfaction of his country with the leadership and efforts of the OIC Secretary General. He also assured the Secretary General of Iran's full support and cooperation with the OIC. Welcoming the Ambassador and wishing him success, the OIC Secretary General expressed the hope that Iran, as an important Member State of the OIC, would continue its cooperation and contribution for the sake of Islamic causes. During the meeting, ways and means of further enhancing bilateral relations between the OIC and Iran were also discussed.
