The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques congratulated the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab and Islamic peoples on the near advent of the blessed holy month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to help them in fasting and prayers and accept their good deeds in this holy month. The King briefed the Cabinet on the message received from Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and the results of his talks with President Ali Bongo Ondimba of the Republic of Gabon, stressing deep relations between the Kingdom and the two sisterly countries, and the keenness of all on their enhancement and development. The King also briefed the Cabinet on his meeting with the Executive Director of World Food Programme Ertharin Cousin, pointing to the Kingdom's keenness to support various efforts and provide assistance for the needy peoples around the world. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet was briefed on reports about local affairs and the latest developments of events at regional, Arab and international arenas, commending the United Nations' efforts to hold Geneva conference on Yemen today, re-emphasizing the Kingdom's support for the demands of the Yemeni legitimate government by committing to Riyadh declaration, the United Nations Security Council resolution 2216 on the Yemeni crisis, the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms, and the results of the Yemeni comprehensive national dialogue to resolve the crisis.
