A moderate earthquake hit off the coast of the western U.S. state of Oregon on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said. The magnitude-5.8 earthquake occurred in the Pacific Ocean about 450 kilometers west of Yachats at a depth of 10 kilometers, the USGS said. The earthquake is not expected to generate a tsunami, the National Tsunami Warning Center said.
