The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Al-Yamamah Palace here today President of Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, President of National Society for Human Rights Dr. Mufleh bin Rubiean Al-Qahtani and a number of senior officials and men and women interested in human rights from government and private sectors. At the outset of the reception, they all listened to a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud addressed the following speech: I am pleased to welcome you in this blessed meeting, praising your efforts and contributions in the field of human rights. The foundations of this state were established on adherence to the Islamic Sharia, which called for the preservation and protection of human rights, and the Government in our country was established on the basis of justice, consultation and equality. The state's systems are integrated in the maintenance of rights, achievement of justice, ensuring freedom of expression, addressing the causes and reasons of division, and non-discrimination. There is no difference between a citizen and another, or between one region and another; all citizens of the homeland are equal in rights and duties, and the statute of Government stated that the State protects Human rights according to Islamic Sharia. The Judiciary is at the forefront of the state's institutions concerning the protection of human rights.
