The total value of cases of the competition system's irregularities incurred in various sectors since the establishment of the Competition Council until the end of 2014 and heard by the Hearing and Settlement Commission has exceeded SR 350 million, while the value of cases in the last year amounted to SR 135 million. The sectors included the sector of necessary consumer goods and services. Those cases have passed advanced stages in the prosecutions while it is expected the effect of deterrence in goods and services markets after the publication of final judgments against violators.
