Luis Suarwez scored a hat-trick and Lionel Messi a brace as Spanish leaders Barcelona increased the pressure on second-placed Real Madrid Saturday with an 8-0 romp at relegated Cordoba. The intense heat was Barca's only obstacle on their afternoon stroll. Cordoba, whose relegation is now confirmed, managed to hold out until three minutes before half-time, when Ivan Rakitic broke the deadlock. Gerard Pique and Neymar were also on target apart from Suarez and Messi in Barca's biggest win of the season which followed on from Tuesday's 6-0 destruction of Getafe and leaves them well-prepared for next week's Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
