German tennis legend Boris Becker has offered his services as an Olympic Ambassador to the city of Hamburg, which hopesto host the Summer Games in 2024, dpa reported. "The Olympics is an unbelievable opportunity to introduce Hamburg to the world," Becker said at a sponsor's event in Hamburg on Tuesday. However, the 47-year-old acknowledged it would be for others to decide if he would be involved. "As a Londoner I have experienced what the Games can mean for a city," Becker said about his adopted home in Britain, which hosted the Games in 2012. Hamburg faces competition for the Games from Boston in the United States and Rome, with Paris and other cities also expected to join the bidding process before the September 15 deadline set by the International Olympic Committee. The host of the Games will be decided by the IOC at its Session in Lima in 2017. -- SPA 19:14 LOCAL TIME 16:14 GMT تغريد
