Saudi assistance to Yemen in the past five years exceeded three billion US dollars. The kingdom announced in Riyadh's two meetings (May and September 2012) new pledges totaling 3.25 billion US dollars. The proportion disbursed by the kingdom exceeded 93% of the total Saudi pledges to Yemen.
