Houthi rebels lost ground in southern Yemen after clashes with forces loyal to President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi, Yemeni electronic news websites said today. The sources said the Yemeni tribal forces have last night controlled Al-Hadaba (plateau) site and other high mountains along the border between Maareb and Al-Baidha provinces following fierce battles in which heavy weapons were used to defeat the Houthi militias from their strongholds in the vicinity of Aden. The report said pro-president forces also controlled the Armored 31 brigade camp located in Bir Ahmed area, west of Aden, following skirmishes with the Houthi rebels.
