The Yemeni Presidency today confirmed that a coup attempt by rebels controlling Sanaa with support of former generals belonging to the outgoing regime and Iran agents, leading to the genocide, killing, displacement and immigration of thousands of Yemenis in different provinces was finally foiled. In a statement, the President's office lauded the achievement reached in Aden today by the army and the popular committees which repulsed the hostile attack against the security, military facilities and airports in Aden targeting President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi residence, who still calls for reason and dialogue. The statement confirmed that the President is well and secure and that the attempt by the coup masterminds and their supporters deriving from the old regime will never succeed. On the contrary, this will lead the people to unite behind the legitimate leader Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi, the statement added. The statement also cited foiled attempts taking place in Maareb province, Al-Baidah, Al-Dalee, Luhaj in addition to Aden.
