On behalf of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mo'allemi has signed an agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Panama, and signed on behalf of the Republic of Panama by its Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Laura Elena Flores. The two Ambassadors stressed during the signing ceremony that the agreement emanates from the keenness of the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations, expand the horizons of cooperation between them and support the issues of security and peace in the world, according to the provisions of the convention on relations and diplomatic immunities signed in Vienna in 1961 . They expressed the hope that this agreement leads to the consolidation of the bonds of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, technical, commercial and cultural fields and other domains of common interest, as well as the embodiment of the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples towards better friendly relations in various fields.
