Five children were killed when a fire gutted their house in the southern Philippines while they were sleeping, dpa quoted police as saying Tuesday. The children, aged between 2 and 11 years old, were alone at the house when the fire broke out because their parents were out, a police report said. The wooden house was the only one affected by the fire in the town of Cabangsalan in Bukidnon province, 865 kilometres south of Manila, on Sunday evening.
