Madinah Al-Munawarah, 22 Rabi'II 1436 H, February 11, 2015, SPA -- Crown Prince of the United Kingdom Charles, escorted with Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Head of Saudi General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, and Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Medina Al Munawarah Region, today paid a get-acquainted visit to Madaen Saleh and a number of the historical sites in the City of Al Ula, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region. The British dignitary is visiting the area at an invitation of the Head of Saudi General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities upon instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud that the Crown Prince of Britain be offered a first-hand chance to visit the major antiquities and heritage sits in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also escorted by Prince Turki Al-Faisal and Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to the united Kingdom, the British delegation paid visits to Al-Khuraibah historical site, Al-Hajar (Maden Saleh's key site and the first Saudi site on the UNESCO world legacy list, Al-Sham (The Levant) Hajj route museum at the Islamic Castle, Al-Hijaz railway museum, visitors center, and the heritage village in Al-Ula, and enjoyed seeing a men folk dance band performance by Al-Ula residents.
