The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh said that we are afflicted at this time by deviating groups which are the enemies of Islam and Muslims even though they claim that they are Muslims. In his Friday's sermon delivered at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh today, Sheikh Abdulaziz said if you look at their actions and behaviors, you see deviating behaviors, wrong acts, crimes, evils, scourges, and corruption, stressing that Islam forbids killing Muslims, citing verses from the Holy Quran in which Allah Almighty says, "If a man kills a Believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (forever): and the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him". The Grand Mufti added that these misguided groups deviated from Allah Almighty's right and straight approach and way; they are subject to the enemies of Shariah; and they want so distort the image of Islam by their actions and killing innocent people, noting that Islam forbids killing and distorting bodies, and calling on the nation the nation to pay attention to these dangers surrounding it.
