The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to approve the construction of 450 new settlement units on the Palestinian occupied territories. The OIC considers that the continuation of the policy of expansion and construction of Israeli settlements on the territories of the State of Palestine occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, is a war crime and a flagrant violation of the international law and international legitimacy resolutions. It called on the international community, particularly the UNSC, to put pressure on Israel, the occupying power, in order to compel it to halt all settlement activities in the Palestinian occupied territories, including the occupied city of Al-Quds.
