Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Crown Prince expressed the best thanks to the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries who have contacted to be reassured about the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, expressing his appreciation to the homeland's citizens for their noble and sincere feelings towards the King, and praying to Allah Almighty to protect the King from any harm and bestow upon him a good health. The Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the results of the official talks held with the President of the Republic of Venezuela. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Khudhairi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after the session that the Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the address of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which was delivered on his behalf by the Crown Prince, at the opening of the third year of the sixth session of Majlis Al-Shura last Tuesday, considering the King's address of his vision, message, major objectives, and assertion that the Kingdom will remain an advocate for its own economic interests and international status within a national perspective taking into consideration the requirements of citizens' welfare and the interests of present and future generations, as a working strategy committed by the Cabinet in its works and performance at various levels. The Cabinet considered the visions of the address and the royal directives as an integrated program as it deals with the basic foundations upon which the internal and external policy of the Kingdom was based, as well as its firm positions towards current Arab, Islamic and international issues. The Cabinet commended Majlis Al-Shura's achievements and contributions to the construction and development through its constructive initiatives, wise opinions and successful recommendations, which have made it an important partner in the development process being witnessed by the Kingdom. The Cabinet expressed its deep condolences to the families of the security men who were martyred last week in defense of their religion and homeland in confronting terrorist elements at Suwaif Center in Judaidet Arar, praying to Allah Almighty for bestowing mercy and forgiveness upon the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured security men, praising the continuing efforts of the security forces in countering terrorist acts and taking regulatory procedures against all those who plan to make corruption and chaos, stressing that the hand of justice will reach anyone being tempted to tamper with the homeland's security. --More 15:51 LOCAL TIME 12:51 GMT تغريد
