Minister of Labor Eng. Adel Faqih expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud after the Cabinet passed a package of decisions supportive to recruiting Saudi job-seekers. He said the decisions, released by the Cabinet in its weekly session in Riyadh today, included: A - Adding a new paragraph with No. (6) to Article (Third) of the organization of Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) according to the Cabinet's Resolution No. (107) dated 31/07/2000 relating to the financing sources of HRDF activities, stating the following: "fees that determined by the Cabinet against services provided by the Fund to private sector for the qualification, training and recruitment of national manpower, in this sector, to replace the expatriates." B - Saudization certificate issued by the Ministry of Labor shall be considered as one of the main documents that must be obtained by any private sector's facility at the request of any of the following: 1. Licenses renewal of opening or operating facilities. 2. Issuance of work visas to visit the Kingdom and that the Ministry of Labor in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall work to find a suitable mechanism between the two ministries in this regard. 3. Issuance of commercial register of a facility's branch that has not achieved the required percentage of Saudization system. 4. Renewal of necessary licenses to practice the professional or craft activities. 5. Access to electricity services for establishments in which (nine) or less people work without a Saudi who is not registered in any other facility. He said the measures would be put into force and that the authority is studying a proposal to increase the cost of foreign laborers gradually. He lauded the role being played by the private sector to nationalize jobs.
