Dhabi, Safar 30, 1436, Dec 22, 2014, SPA -- Eng. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country's delegation to the 93rd annual meeting of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) which was held in the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu-Dhabi yesterday. The meeting discussed a host of issues, including the annual budget of the organization, and its secretariat general's different activities, such like the international talks on environment and climate change. On the other hand, the meeting dealt with OAPEC's annual prize for scientific research and studies allotted for Arab researchers in the field of petroleum and energy. The prize was withheld for lack of eligible candidates. Qatar's minister of energy and industry Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sadah was elected chairman of OAPEC's next session while the next annual meeting will be held in Cairo on 20 December 2015.
