The General index of wholesale prices in the month of November compared with the same period of the previous year increased by (1.4 %), due to changes in the main sections constituting the index. In its monthly statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) pointed out that the rise included a number of sections topped by the sector of chemicals and related products by (6.2%), followed by beverages sector by (2.7%); the sector of food and live animals by (2.3%); the sector of miscellaneous manufactured goods by (1.9%); and the sector of machines and transport equipment by (0.4%). It noted that a number of sections recorded a decline topped by other goods by (4.6%); the sector of oils and animal and plant fats by (1.4%); the sector of manufactured goods by (0.6%); and the sector of raw materials except fuels by (0.4%); while the sector of mineral fuels and related products remained at the level of the previous benchmark index. The statement showed that the general index of wholesale prices for the month of November totaled (160.5 points), compared to (160.3 points) for the month of October, a rise by 0.1% in November compared to the month of October 2014.
