Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, Head of the Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh and Head of the Committee Supervising the Implementation of King Abdulaziz Project for Public Transport in Riyadh - Train and Buses patronized here today the signing of the contract for supply, operation and maintenance of the bus network project. The project is part of King Abdulaziz Project for Public Transport in Riyadh - Train and Buses. The contract's total value is about 7.8 billion riyals for a 10-year operation period which is preceded by two years for preparation. The contract was approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. During the ceremony, Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz made a statement thanking the king for the project and other Saudi leaders for supporting the project. Other speakers on the occasion provided detailed information on the project. The project includes supply of 1000 buses with a capacity of transporting 900,000 passengers per day. The transport network will consist of 22 routes covering about 1200 kilometers all over the city.
