Eight people were killed on Saturday after a two-vehicle collision in southwest China's Sichuan Province, traffic police said. The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. after a small bus carrying eight passengers collided head on with a large truck on a road in Songpan County, Xinhua reported. The bus driver and two passengers were killed at the scene, and another five people died later in the hospital, said a police officer. A preliminary investigation showed that the bus driver was in the wrong lane, causing the accident. Further investigation is under way.
