At least 57 people were killed in a collision between a bus and truck in southern Pakistan, officials said Tuesday, according to dpa. The accident in Khairpur district of Sindh province also injured more than 15 people, provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon said. The bus was en route to the port city of Karachi when it collided with the truck coming from opposite direction and caught fire, police official Nasir Aftab said. More than a dozen women and eight children were among the dead, said doctor Ghulam Jaffar at the local hospital.
