Supreme Court: Saturday 01/01/1436AH, according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar, the 1st day of lunar month of Muharram 1436 AH

The Supreme Court announced that Saturday 01/01/1436AH, according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar, corresponding to October 25, 2014AD, is the first day of the lunar month of Muharram for the year 1436AH.
This came in a decision issued by the Supreme Court today, noting that after sighting the crescent of the lunar month, it is decided that Friday 30/12/1435AH, according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar, supplemented the lunar month of Dhu Al-Hijjah for the year 1435 AH.
