Tuesday is the 1st Day of Lunar Month of Muharram, 1435 AH

The Supreme Court announced that Tuesday, 02/01/1435 AH according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar, corresponding to 5 November 2013, is the first day of the lunar month of Muharram for the year 1435AH, due to the lack of evidence of sighting the crescent of the month of Muharram on Sunday evening, 29th Dhu Al-Hijjah 1434 AH. This came in a statement issued by the Supreme Court today.
