AlHijjah 05, 1435, September 29, 2014, SPA -- The Prophet's Mosque in Madinah occupies a great status in the hearts of Muslims, who are keen when they come to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals, to visit and pray at the Prophet's Mosque. The Prophet's city was selected this year by Islamic Cultural, Educational and Scientific Organization (ISESCO) as the Capital of Islamic Culture. Madinah city witnessed late last year, the largest expansion in the history of the Prophet's Mosque when the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud laid the foundation stone for the expansion so that the Mosque's accommodation capacity will reach up to two million worshippers at the end of the project's works.
