AlQa'dah 21, 1435, September 16, 2014, SPA -- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Geneva-based United Nations Faisal bin Hasan Trad said today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is proud of following the laws of Islamic religion, including the death penalty for killers and other capital crimes. Speaking before the Human Rights Council in Geneva, he also said that neither Saudi Arabia nor any Islamic ruler or state could dare to change the orders of Allah Almighty in this regard. He explained that such regulations were set to protect human rights. Commenting on the Israeli representative remarks about human rights in Saudi Arabia, Trad referred the audience to the world human rights violation records which announced Israel as the bottom of the list of human rights most breaches. He also confirmed that Saudi Arabia's regulations stipulate that freedom of speech and opinion should not lead to violation of other's rights or threaten the national security or public order or health or morals. He added that the governance statute stated that judiciary is to remain independent and that litigation is equal for citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom. He concluded that Saudi Arabia rejects interference of others or distrust in the Saudi laws, requesting everybody to respect that.
